RESEARCH + PRACTICE
Tessa Blazey is a Melbourne based jeweller. She completed a Bachelor of Arts in Sculpture, RMIT University, 1995, and a Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design (Hons), RMIT University, 1999. Tessa also completed an Advanced Diploma in Jewellery, NMIT, 2008. In 1999 she won the Carr Design award and in 2008 won the Studio Ingot design award. Recent solo exhibitions include; Fabrication, Pieces of Eight, 2009 and Romancing the Stone, Pieces of Eight, 2013. Selected group exhibitions include; Love Lace, Powerhouse Museum, 2011, Forces of Nature, Australian Embassy Washington DC, 2012, Signature Style, Craft Victoria 2012, and Melbourne Now, National Gallery of Victoria, 2013. Tessa has been a tutor in Interior Design at RMIT since 2002 and is the recent recipient of the ArtStart Grant from the Australia Council. She has work in the permanent collections of The National Gallery of Australia.
