RESEARCH + PRACTICE
Simon Finn’s studio practice is an exploration into static and movement-based representations through drawing, sculpture and simulation technology. Through the use of complex digital modelling, rendering and physics computation, Simon freezes single moments in time before extrapolating them in to intricate charcoal drawings, animations and synthetic sculptures. Finn completed a Master of Fine Art by research at the Victorian College of the Arts in 2013. He also received First Class Honors in Fine Art from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and he studied Electronic Design and Interactive Media at Swinburne University.
