Saskia Schut's practice seeks to experiment in landscape, landscape as an aerial and astronomic event.
Drawing from approaches in art and landscape architecture and architecture as well as earth sciences, her practice seeks to perform, matter weather, light, clouds, tidal forces through material experiments, small built works, drawings and film.
Saskia lives and works in Melbourne. She is currently engaged in a PhD in Architecture and Design at RMIT. She has completed a degree in Art (Fine Art) at Monash University and a degree in Landscape Architecture at RMIT. Her practice research is formed through solo projects as well as collaborative projects. Collaborative projects include 'Theory of Rainbows' with Scott Mitchell and works with Louisa King.
