RESEARCH + PRACTICE
Qianyi Lim is Director of SIBLING, a Melbourne based architecture and design studio that is passionate about engaging society with good architecture and design through the production of new and unexpected spatial outcomes. SIBLING is a collaborative studio practice, which is lead by herself and fellow Directors Amelia Borg, Nicholas Braun, Jane Caught and Timothy Moore.
Prior to founding SIBLING, she was an architect at McBride Charles Ryan Architects in Melbourne and has also worked at practices overseas in Shanghai, Madrid and Copenhagen, including Bjarke Ingels Group. In this time she has developed an interest in how different cities and their built environments may create positive social environments. This line of inquiry has since been pursued through SIBLING, where together with her colleagues, they hope to create spaces that are fun and enjoyable, provoke interest to engage and connect users to foster positive social exchange.
