Pavilions for Mediation
'Pavilions for Mediation’ is a series of six installations that collectively create a journey to achieve maximum potentials of self in site. Working from the interior, these installations are constructed to blur the boundaries between the outside, the inside and the viewer, with an intention to celebrate the everyday or disregarded. Each site-specific pavilion produces an awareness of the ephemeral and temporal conditions of the rural site on which they sit. Mediated through a series of material arrangements and surface qualities that respond and perform in a lively manner, inhabitants sense of time shifts and adapts depending on the material behaviour. The dynamic relationship between structure and nature is one that will be transpired to a viewer. These installations ask the viewers to consider their presence in time and offers up a framework to appreciate the temporal qualities of their surroundings.
