RESEARCH + PRACTICE
Jhana is a practicing artist/designer currently working with SHP (Sue Hodges Productions), specialising in heritage interpretation for local, national and international projects, including world heritage listed sites (Georgetown, Malaysia and Exmouth, WA). This work has merged a number of her areas of interest and expertise including interior design, visual/public art and natural & cultural heritage.
Currently completing her Master of Cultural Heritage (Deakin), her practice focuses on the use of history and site as the driving force of design production. The result is the creation of a wide range of interpretive forms that are site specific, site sensitive and user focused, with the aim of producing thought provoking installations for visitors/audiences that stimulate further/enhanced engagement with the site and its history/s.
