RESEARCH + PRACTICE
Jessica graduated from the Interior Design course in 2013 and was the recipient of the Bates Smart Award and the Frederick Stern Memorial Prize for her project entitled ‘Finding Community; Pedalling Social Justice,’ which sought to understand and design for a local community justice group with a focus on engagement and visibility via mobility.
Recently she has worked for and with the Melbourne groups Make Yourself @ Home, Carbon Arts and the CoDesign Studio. Jess also has a strong interest in graphics and digital media and she is currently working with the creative duo Tin & Ed on image making and graphic design projects, as well as studying web development part time.
Jess was the 2015 winner of the Australian German Association Travel Fellowship, for her proposed paper on ‘German Design Activism’ for which she will be travelling to Hamburg to research and write later this year.
