RESEARCH + PRACTICE
Ian Nazareth is an architect practicing between Melbourne and Mumbai. His professional experience spans a range of projects for the public and private sectors, comprising strategic urban projects, residential and institutional architectural work as well as design-research consultancies.
Ian is a Research Associate in Architecture and Urban Design at the School of Architecture and Design at RMIT, and leads design studios and research projects across the School’s post-graduate programs in Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design. Ian is the co-director of ‘traffic’, an emerging cross-disciplinary design studio and collaborative practice that operates beyond the boundaries of the traditional architectural office.
Additionally, he contributes regularly to architectural media, including the Architectural Review Asia Pacific and the Australian Design Review. Ian was previously an Associate Director at the Urban Design Research Institute in Mumbai.
