RESEARCH + PRACTICE
As a spatial designer, Fotini Malivindi is captivated by thresholds, exploring the uncertain and often ephemeral nature of ‘betweenness’ across multiple mediums and fields. Her jewellery practice explores spatial conditions triggered through language and form, resulting in ambiguous pieces which raise ideas surrounding the ability of an object to shift, transport and transform.
Fotini is inspired by the transformative power of light and its effect on the experience of space. She is undertaking a Lighting & Engineering Design course at RMIT to focus her interest and continue exploring spatial transitions.
