Din Heagney is a writer and editor specialising in art and design publishing. His work has appeared in print and online in Australia, Italy, Germany, USA and China.
Currently working in Melbourne, Din teaches design history and theory at MADA (Monash University), and has developed new courses in publishing and gender for the School of Architecture and Design at RMIT University. He has worked on projects for the Australia Council for the Arts, National Gallery of Australia, National Gallery of Victoria, National Association for the Visual Arts, Platform Artists Group Inc, and many other organisations.
Din has edited books for publishers including Thames & Hudson Australia, MER Paper Kunsthalle Belgium, Biennale of Sydney, Cyclops Press Sydney, and Victorian Initiatives of Artists Network. He has also edited magazine titles for Artlink Australia & Asia Pacific, un Projects, and Niche Media. His writing and photography work has appeared in magazines such as Nylon, Monument, Inside and Desktop; online for Art21, The Art Life, and Pagesdigital; and in catalogues for many contemporary artists and designers.
